It is difficult to conceive how the imagination of Dr. R. S. Praveen Kumar, IPS, Secretary TSWREIS may have first perceived that the existing TSWRDC, Bhongir was to be the place for the only one of its kind college in India - TSWRAFPDCW. On 25 Jun 2018, the existing TSWRDC, Bhongir was converted into TSWRAFPDCW, Bhongir.It is located in a rural area called Bibinagar where an existing Non Functional Engineering College was taken on lease for running this unique college with the combination of Degree & Defence as the curriculum.
Bibinagar is a Town in Bibinagar Mandal in Nalgonda District of Telangana State, India.... Telugu is the Local Language here. It is located about 38 Kms from Hyderabad. This Place is in the border of the Nalgonda District and Rangareddy District. Bibinagar is surrounded by Pochampally Mandal towards South, Bommala Ramaram Mandal towards North, Ghatkesar Mandal towards West , Bhuvanagiri Mandal towards East.
Away from distractions of city life, Lady Cadets interests are concentrated within this idyllic environment.
Founded by the Secretary, TSWREIS Dr. R. S. Praveen Kumar, IPS,it is the first Armed Forces Preparatory Degree College for Women in India meant only for the Underprivileged girl child. On the 25th of June 2018, an existing TSWRDC was converted into the visionary project of TSWRAFPDCW.
The College functions under the control of the Social Welfare Ministry. From its Foundation the financial burden of the College is being borne by the State Government. Under these arrangements, control of the College is passed from the Secretary, TSWREIS to the Director (a retired Lady Army Officer) for military training & for University Degree Academics to the Principal of the college., TSWRAFPDCW....
This is the most unusual arrangement, not seen or heard of in any of the Government Degree Colleges.TSWRAFPDCW has House and Prefectorial systems, games on an organised basis and a curriculum working towards MG University Examinations.The College continuously strives to evolve and modernize. In the times to come by feding them with maximum aspirant who wish to become officers..The military training is strong & is of high standard. TSWRAFPDCW will make major contribution to the defence of the country
History records that during the hot summer of Jun 2018, the Secretary alongwith Col CN Reddy (Retd), Maj U K Sharma (Retd), all HO Officers & Engineers searched for a site in the Bhongir Hills around Bibinagar to establish an Armed Forces Preparatory Degree College for Women. The Secretary eventually selected a non functional Engineering College in a rural area as it combined with most of the requisites for an Armed Forces Preparatory Degree College, Viz isolation, ample space, suitable location not too far from Hyderabad city etc.
The College is spread over 10 acres of land belonging to M/S Medha Engineering College.
Once the site was selected the work of construction was entrusted to DS (Tech), TSWREIS. Work commenced on 1 Jul 2018.
...The Secretary put the College in the capable hands of Maj U K Sharma (Retd) as the Founder Director Military Training & Mr. Rajaiah as the Founder Principal. The College formally received the first lady cadet on 04 Aug, 2018 with a total of 121 girls.
The first impressions of the College were over-whelming, everything was on a grand scale; its estate; its buildings; and above all its spirit which is impossible to define. Pride in the college has been an outstanding characteristic for all age-groups.
In the past one and half year the college has developed into a most wanted College. However, it has retained the strenuous simplicity and humane but martial spirit of its early days.

To promote spirit of adventure & physical fitness amongst the LCs TSWRAFPDCW conducted Night Route March with 8 kgs of weight at the back on the night of ………2018. First batch LCs marched from college premises to Pochampally & back on foot.

TSWRAFPDCW offers 6 types of graduate degrees. Each degree is obtained from MG University. Presently the strength of each type is as under :- MSCs - 98 MbZC - 75 MPC - 77 BZC - 65 B.Com (Computers) - 71 BA (HEP) - 36
It works as a bridge between parents & teachers to work on improving different set of skills & social & emotional aspects of the Lady Cadet.
It is generally conducted before the LCs proceed on all types of vacations.
LCs have been made aware of the importance of physical activities & organised sports & games programmes which is combined with her academic pursuits. TSWRAFPDCW provides the basic facilities for such activities in terms of the sports fields / courts & also playing equipment both for practice & competitions.
In view of the high competition & rigorous requirements for UPSC preparation TSWRAFPDCW designed a well planned route map for LCs to get clarity on the approach, topics to cover, focus on the individual strengths & weakness. The LCs can awail offline & online exams on daily basis.
Regular exercise benefits the LCs in increasing their endurance,strengthening their muscles, improves the body balance & increases the flexibility of muscles which helps in keeping the body stay limber.
Study hours are conducted under the supervision of duty teachers.
Due to self study there is drastic improvement to grades, understanding & confidence
